Galapagos Islands

For our topic in term 2 we are doing evolution and we started with a place that shows changes in a fast period of time.







we watched three videos with David Attenborough in them that explained about how the island formed, how the animals got there and how they changed to the environment. like how marine iguanas changed to have sharp teeth to eat seaweed faster also many more. We learnt about other animals including giant tortioses which changed their shell in differant ways on different islands. also sea creature penguins and bugs. we also had examples on other things changing and one on human evolution. I want to learn what dinosaurs that evolved and what creatures that were around when there were dinsaurs and how they evolved. I think a good topic for social studies next term would be ancient rome because i would like to learn about something new.
